Bike racks

October 2015 - Bexhill Wheelers and Classic Cycle Group are really excited that the Bexhill Town Team and Rother District Council have placed more cycle stands around Town Centre. This gives the opportunity for cyclists to visit Town Centre and secure their machines safely. And here we are pictured demonstrating that each cycle stand can support up to four cycles. This group of three stands can potentially save 12 cars from parking in the Town Centre.

If anyone wants to join us on our regular Thursday rides please meet at 10.30am in the De La Warr car park, for more details please call Geoff on 07973 128105 "

March 2015 - The cycle racks are now being installed in the Town Centre. Thank you everyone who helped, especially Alan Smith at Rother District Council.

March 2014 - We have now agreed with Rother DC that we will install 18 bicycle stands in the Town Centre and another 5 in the De La Warr Pavilion car park.

In the Portas Bid (February 2012) we identified the lack of facilities for cyclists in the Town Centre.  Since then, we are connected by NCR2 to Hastings along the sea front making the town even more attractive to cyclists.

The cycle stands are paid for from the funds allocated to the Town Team's plans by Rother Distrcit Council. These funds are held by Rother Dc and their accounts are available on their web site.
