Empty shops

When we submitted the Portas bids, there were about 25 empty shops in the Town Centre. The figure changes frequently, but currently there are about 30 (not including the kiosks at the colonnade).

In December 2012 we worked with the De La Warr Pavilion to use an empty shop in Western Rd for a six weeks exhibition of local artists' work. We also have had use of a shop window in St. Leonardís Road in which Sussex Police displayed public information. We are looking for more ways to utilise empty shops. Please contact us if you are interested in this.
